I’m not really in the market for a new cross-body bag. I love my Elliott Lucca. This was my second summer with it and it’s still in great condition.

It has a pattern similar to #1 in the Elliott Lucca Camera Bag shape. The neutral shades allow me to use it for everyday while the shiny snakeskin allow it to double for dressier occasions. It is the perfect size for a wallet, phone, sunglasses, and some lip gloss. On the other hand, it’s small enough that it never gets in the way and can be easily tucked into a larger bag.

I’m packing for a trip and definitely plan on taking my great cross-body purse. Really, every woman needs a small comfortable cross-body bag in a neutral color or pattern that can easily be used with casual or semi-dressy outfits. The ideal bag should be able to go from season to season and should be durable enough to handle a bit of weather.

Since Elliott Lucca no longer carries my go-to bag, here’s a quick round-up of some other great cross-body bags.

I love #6, but I can’t get over the color of #4. The color is so striking and it’s definitely the most style for your money. I also love the fact that the Express bag locks . . . ideal for a bag that is going to be taken traveling.

  1. I really like the Anthropologie cross body bag. But then again, my “style” (if you can call it that) is extremely casual. And once you have a few kids, you either carry that adorable tiny bag and a gigantic diaper bag, or you use a bag large enough to store that extra diaper in your purse. If you don’t need the diaper room, you can always pad the extra space with hundreds of receipts.
